The Best Meat Loaf You’ve Ever Had

It’s not just me calling this the best meatloaf you’ve ever had, it’s everyone who got my cookbook. I published it back in 2006 and to my surprise it was the meatloaf recipe everyone raved about. I knew it was good but never expected that many compliments. I was trying to make it healthier by adding some finely diced vegetables but it turns out that they dramatically improved the flavor and moisture in my meatloaf.

You can imagine how much I cook at home but when I make this meatloaf, there’s a certain level of excitement… not just for the delicious dinner but then the meat loaf sandwiches the next day.

I made the video to show how easy it is to make one of the classic American meals and how to make it the healthiest it can be. You’ll see why you should not use a loaf pan to make meatloaf but bake it on a foil-lined pan. The added bonus is that there is no cleanup.  By the way, I’m in the process of adding all of the recipes from my cookbook to this website so they will all be free.

Try this healthy meatloaf. Make some mashed potatoes. Steam a side of broccoli. Invite the neighbors over! Click here for the recipe. – Jenny Jones

p.s. Does anybody know if “meatloaf” is one word or two? Meatloaf or Meat Loaf?

I made your stuffed cabbage rolls and I received compliments from my husband and brother. My husband Said I did good and my brother said they were very tasty! I have to agree with both of them! I passed the recipe on to my daughter and sister. I only pass recipes on to family when I’m totally impressed! I will definitely try more of your recipes. Next one will be your meatloaf and I’m so glad I came across your website. Thank you,Jenny!

My cookbook is out of print and is outdated. There is no need to buy it. I am a much better cook today and all of the best recipes from the book (plus many new ones) are here on my website, the way I make them today: simpler and faster, more streamlined. If you’re curious you can see a free pdf copy of the book using this link: https://www.jennycancook.com/cookbook/

Thanks for bread recipes especially . Easy clean ups are most appreciated! I have a diabetic in my house and for your chocolate cup cakes, I used 1/2 cup sugar and 1/2 cup Splenda . It worked well even though Slenda is suppose to contribute to weight gain. The frosting recipe was as stated, however a very thin coating was applied on a portion of the cupcakes.

Thanks for your comment. I’m also diabetic and miss my sweets. Can’t find Splenda blend in the store so I will try the half and half measure. I am curious about the affect the cupcake had on your diabetics glucose level after eating the cupcake.

I’ve always wondered if meatloaf was one word or 2. It’s one word. I searched and this is what I came up with. Btw, I loved the video and yes your meatloaf is very impressively and amazingly delicious 🙂
