DALILA MADE MY EASY PUMPKIN BARS

“Hi Ms. Jenny! 🌷I was lucky enough to have all the ingredients I needed to make your EASY PUMPKIN BARS again. In fact I made two batches, how could I not! 😉 I’m  telling you this is such a wonderful recipe, the pumpkin bars come out soooo moist. I was also quick to take pictures this time, they really do NOT last long. In one batch I added dark chocolate chunks, the other one has toasted walnuts. For the frosting I did make it a bit more stiffer, easier for me to pipe it. Thank you for sharing your ‘awesome’ recipes, keep them coming! Happy Baking! 🌼 Dalila.”

~ They look so good and a little fancier than mine. Thank you for more of your lovely photos. ~ jennyEasy Pumpkin Bars

EVA MADE MY NO KNEAD CRUSTY ROLLS

“Jenny Jenny Who Can I Turn To ????  Well — Jenny Can Cook!  I baked your lovely No Knead Crusty Rolls and they turn out fabulous!  I will be freezing them so I can reheat them at the Cabin we have rented this upcoming week.  I divided them into 6 rolls instead of 8 because I needed an excuse for a bigger roll.  LOL!  Thanks so much for the recipe!  I’ve saved your recipe to my PAPRIKA3 app (which i love and highly recommend) but …. I’ve named them Jenny Jenny No-Knead Crusty Rolls. 😉”

~ Thank you for these photos. I like the idea of bigger rolls – one never seems like enough. 😋 ~ jennyNo Knead Dinner RollsEasy Crusty Rolls

BEV (from Canada) MADE MY CINNAMON RAISIN BREAD & OATMEAL COOKIES

“Hi Jenny, I’ve just finished making your Oatmeal Cookies (I substituted some chocolate chips & pecans for the raisins) – love them!  But my biggest accomplishment to date was your Braided Cinnamon Raisin Bread which I made 2 days ago.  I’d never have even attempted it but your video gave me the confidence to try and all I can say is WOW, I can’t believe I made it myself.  Thank you so much for all your wonderful recipes which I’m plowing my way through and we’re enjoying every one of them. Bev (from Canada)”

“Hi Jenny, Thanks so much for your wonderful recipes. I go to you for inspiration and love your videos!  In this case, I had already made a crust from a different recipe, but next time I will try yours for sure. In any case, the apple pie was delish! Made last night and had for breakfast this morning, just like you recommend in your video. ; ) Have a great day! ~ Rosanna Funiciello Smith.”

PAMELA MADE MY CABBAGE ROLLS

“Dear Jenny: I made these for the first time ever following your recipe and video. A picture of them in progress – the dish on the top is ready, the dish on the bottom clearly needs some sauce and leaves before going in. They turned out PERFECTLY! I’m so proud of them! Thank you thank you thank you!! With love, Pamela.”

DALILA MADE MY SPROUTED WHEAT BREAD

“Good morning Ms. Jenny! ☀️ I hope you and Denis are well and are getting comfy in your new home. The weather is taking a turn and I can say Fall is here for sure….LOL!To get into  Fall foods I did make your Easy Pumpkin Bars again,  unfortunately no picture. They disappeared soooo fast……again…..everyone loves them! I’ll have to make more pumpkin bars and try to keep everyone’s grubby hands off….LOL! I also made your Lightened Up Pumpkin Cheesecake….DEEEEE-LISH!! Thank you for all of your wonderful recipes! I truly enjoy looking through your blog to pick out recipes to make. Your recipes ALWAYS work out for me, they are definite winners in my kitchen.

I made your QUICK AND EASY SPROUTED WHEAT BREAD. I’ve made it many times before with success in a regular size loaf pan. I sometimes add some sort of  seeds to the top of the loaf. This time I tried it in my two smaller pans, 7.75″ X 3.75″ X 2.5″. The loaves came out great, I topped one with pumpkin seeds. The bread always comes out so soft in the middle, yummy indeed!  Thank you for making “bread-baking”  so much fun Ms. Jenny! 😀 Wishing you and Denis a lovely day! 🌻 Happy baking! ~ Dalila G.”

CARMEN MADE MY 2-HOUR NO KNEAD BREAD

“Thank you so much for this quick bread recipe. It was easy to make. The only thing I changed was that I added 2 teaspoons of salt instead of one. A friend mentioned that she did a recipe (not this one) and it used 1 teaspoon of salt and it came out bland. So I decided to add the extra salt and all I can say is YUMMY.  Thanks again!”

– That looks fantastic! Thank you so much for the photo and for the reminder that you can use more salt. –  jennyFastest No Knead Bread

JIM MADE MY CRUNCHY OATMEAL BANANA MUFFINS

“I always have to double any of your recipes because they are so good & healthy! Thank you 🙏.  Doubled these muffins this morning and I use a little cinnamon (I love cinnamon) and I use walnuts for a little healthier nut. GREAT 👍😊

PATRICIA MADE MY NO KNEAD BREAD

“My contribution to your wonderful recipes.  It reminded me of the fantastic bread I eat when in France.  I baked it in my antique French cast iron Dutch oven! What a treat and even with garlic cloves folded in before rising it is supremely delicious. ❤️ Thanks for sharing this recipe Jenny. 😍”

– That looks divine and I love the idea of adding garlic. I would use that to make “double” garlic bread!    jennyFaster No Knead Bread

MIL (from Canada) MADE MY BRAIDED CINNAMON RAISIN BREAD

“Hi Jenny I made your Braided Cinnamon Raisin Bread and it turned out wonderful as usual. A friend of mine was a little down and out so I thought I would cheer her up with one of your fabulous recipes and it certainly brightened her day.  As I mentioned before, baked goods work wonders to lift spirits and I thank you for sharing your talents with all of us.  If you look to the left of the picture almost at the top you will see a beautiful bumblebee collecting pollen.  I wasn’t the only one that was busy working.  I had great company.  Take care.

SU (from the UK) MADE MY LEMON BROWNIES

“Hi Jenny. I live in the UK and this is the first time I have cooked using cups. Look ok. I used foil backed parchment to make the tin smaller as the smallest I had was 10×10 inches. ~ Su.”

MIL (from Canada) MADE MY ALMOND FLOUR CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

“Hi Jenny:  I made your Almond Flour Chocolate Chip Cookies but instead of using chocolate chips and because I didn’t have pecans, I doubled up and used toasted walnuts.  As is true for all your recipes they are so good and so easy to make. I just love to bake and the summer for me is the best time to bake. I don’t work through the summer so I indulge in my love of baking. Truth be told, I share a lot more than I keep. Baked goods are gifts that seem to put smiles on people’s faces which in turn makes the baker happy. Thank you, thank you for sharing your recipes. ~ Mil from Canada.”

– Thanks so much for your photo. I’m a bit relieved to know you are sharing all these things you so beautifully bake! 🙂   jennyAlmond Flour Cookies

Photo of the Month (July)

Crispy Apple Tart with Peaches

My pic of the month is from Mil in Canada. She used my Crispy Apple Tart recipe using fresh peaches and it looks so good! At first I thought it was an apple tart but when I saw it was made with peaches, well I’ll be trying my own version with peaches next time. “The tart tastes fabulous and the apricot jam coating on top just elevates it even more,” said Mil. Her tart looks like a very expensive dessert at a fancy restaurant, doesn’t it? Thank you, Mil, for your inspirational photo.

Photo of the Month (July)

Jenny Can Bake CakeWhat are the odds that two people baked their own birthday cakes in July? I chose both their photos to feature this month and get this: One baker is only 10 years old and the other is 74! Lucci from the Philipines, who turned 10 on July 16th,  made her own chocolate cake. She said, “It was soo easy. I did one layer, my sister did another layer, my mom frosted the cake, and I piped the borders!!” What a beautiful job she did piping the border, just like a pro.”

The vanilla cake on the right was made by Janice from Michigan, celebrating her 74th birthday on July 8th. “The cake was delicious and I have enjoyed it everyday since making it,” she said. “Every morsel I ate was DELICIOUS.” Janice, I just celebrated my own 74th birthday in June and yes, I baked my own cake too! ? Birthday blessing to you both. ❤️

~  It is beautiful – congratulations! I’m pretty sure you’ll be making it again. ~ jenny

PAUL MADE MY MEATLOAF
“Hi Jenny. This was the 3rd time with your meatloaf recipe – my family love it, even though meatloaf is not really a regular dish in the UK. I make it with Turkey mince that is around 3% fat, it’s a bit softer than beef so I add a spoon of flour last just to help it bind together – tastes great, love the crispy outside. Not such a great photo, will do better next time! Thanks again for your fantastic work on this site.”

~  When you have leftovers, you might also enjoy an American classic, a meat loaf sandwich. ~ jenny

EDDIE MADE MY NO KNEAD BREAD
“Hi Jenny!  We are in absolute love with the no knead bread! It’s so easy to make and very delicious. Thank you for sharing your recipe. ~ Eddie Kay from phoenix Arizona.”

CHET IS SHARING HOW HE RISES DOUGH
“Hi Jenny, I am using a turkey cooker to rise my dough. I have found that this method works well as the ambient house temperature during winter days fluctuates. There are two vent holes in the cover of the cooker, I have enlarged one of the vent notes to allow a thermometer to be placed to monitor the temperature. I have found this method gives me the best and consistent results.”

~  Thank you for sharing this innovative idea. ~ jennyJenny Can Cook

DALILA MADE MY APPLE PIE
“Hi Jenny! ? I have to tell you that your Homemade Apple Pie recipe is a keeper! I made Apple Hand Pies and they came out very good! The one small change that I made was to the granny smith apples. I diced them into smaller pieces so they’ll fit in the hand pies. I plan on making other varieties of fruit pies using your dough recipe. Thank you Jenny! Happy Baking! ? “

NIKTA MADE MY EASTER BUNNY BUNS
“Happy Easter! Jenny, i had so much fun making these! I’m taking them to family brunch shortly. I made the ears smaller (I only used a 2.5 inch cutter for ears and body), but I got 12 breads with hardly any dough left.”

DALILA MADE MY FALL-OFF-THE-BONE RIBS
“Hi Jenny! I am in rib-heaven thanks to your ‘FANTASTIC’ recipes!! YAY YOU!! I made your homemade BBQ sauce, your homemade dry rub and followed your instructions for your oven-baked ribs…..AWESOME!!! All three of your recipes that I made were easy to follow. The one small change that I made was that I used boneless-pork ribs. I didn’t have any bone-in pork ribs so I substituted those for what I did have in my frig. The ribs were soooo moist, tender and flavorful. I served our ribs with a side of pineapple coleslaw and rolls. Talk about an appetizing dinner that not only looks great, it also made my taste buds dance with joy!! Thank you for sharing your cooking ideas! Happy Cooking! ? ~ Dalila.”

~  Great photos! Now you know why this is my most popular video. ~ jenny

JANA MADE MY NO KNEAD BREAD, CRUSTY ROLLS & WHITE BREAD
“Hi Jenny! Hello from Seoul, South Korea! I am Czech, living temporarily in South Korea. I have discovered your recipes few months ago and I cannot explain how happy I am. As a Czech, I love my bread, bread rolls, poppy seed rolls etc. everything that is impossible to find here. Thanks to you, I can bake everything now and with the great taste I remember even from my childhood. Thank you! I am slowly trying to go through all of your recipes, but of course bread and bread rolls were the first I had to bake. I am sending the pictures of them. And then was this white bread, and because I have here „czech“ size of the baking pan, the bread is longer and slimer, but we don´t care, the taste is great. Oh, and I made the poppy seed roll yesterday, it was a great hit, but I was not fast enought to take a picture… 🙂 Thank you for all your recipes and funny videos. I wish you happy and healthy days from Seoul, ~ Jana Sulkova.”

~  Bringing happiness to your house makes me feel so rewarded. Thank you for these photos. ~ jenny
