Where to get Cookbooks

Sonja asks… I would like to where you can get the cookbooks? Thanks.

My Response…

You don’t really need to buy my book because I have permission from the publisher to share all of the recipes from my book on this website, which I am in the process of doing, along with all of my new ones. – Jenny Jones

JENNY…. YOU ARE SUPER!!!! SUCH A SPECIAL PERSON!!!…FRIEND, &, MOST WONDERFUL, PRETTY COOK!!!! THANKS SOOOO MUCH FOR YOUR BRIGHTNESS & SHARING YOUR WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE OF COOKING, THAT IS THE BEST EVER!!!! YOU ARE SO GREAT TO ENCOURAGE EVERYONE. I WOULD LOVED TO HAVE YOU AROUND WHEN I WAS A STRUGGLING NEW WIFE AT 17 YRS OLD! I SCRIBBLED SOME RECIPES ON INDEX CARDS & “ADLIBED” THE REST OF IT. I WENT CLEAR ACROSS COUNTRY FROM MY HOME IN ARIZONA TO JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA, HUSBAND WAS IN MARINE CORPS. I SAVED ALL THE LITTLE COUPONS THAT CAME ON GOLD MEDAL FLOUR BAGS FOR 2 YEARS BEFORE I COULD SEND FOR THE BETTY CROCKER COOKBOOK, THAT WAS OFFERED AT A DISCOUNT IF YOU HAD ENOUGH OF THEM. I STILL HAVE THE BOOK, BUT RARELY EVER OPEN IT ANYMORE. I SOOOO ENJOY YOU & YOUR RECIPES!! I AM 85 YRS OLD & DON’T COOK AS MUCH AS I USED TO, BUT I PRINT THEM & PASS THEM ON TO MY TWO DAUGHTERS & TWO GRAND DAUGHTERS WITH PLASTIC COVER SHEETS IN NOTEBOOKS FILED BY CATAGORY. I WISH I COULD GET YOUR COOK BOOK FROM SOMEONE! I AM NOT VERY COMPUTER FRIENDLY AS I WOULD LIKE TO BE.(IT’S TRUE…’YA CAN’T TEACH AN OLD DOG NEW TRICKS 😉 BLESSINGS TO YOU, MY DEAR!! MAY YOU ALWAYS BE AS DELIGHTFUL, HEALTHY & AS PRETTY AS YOU ARE TODAY!!! BTW..MY MOTHER CAME TO USA IN 1913 @ AGE OF 17….ON BORROWED MONEY & NOT KNOWING A WORD OF ENGLISH…SHE WAS ONE OF 17 KIDS(UGH! HER POOR MOM!!)…SHE HAD A JOB WAITING FOR HER WHEN SHE GOT HERE, $25 PER MONTH, CLEANING HOUSE, WASHING ON WASHBOARD FOR MAN & WIFE & TENDING 4 YOUNG CHILDREN. THE PARENTS OWNED A BUTCHER SHOP IN PHOENIX. THE APRONS/CLOTHING WERE QUITE SOILED FROM THE BUTCHER SHOP…& OF COURSE THE KIDS CLOTHES WERE QUITE DIRTY ALSO, PHOENIX WAS A VERY DUSTY TOWN THEN, NOT MANY LAWNS. MY FATHER & HIS FAMILY DROVE (BY HORSEBACK) 300 HEAD OF CATTLE FROM MIDDLE OF TEXAS TO ARIZONA…COVERED WAGON WAS USED FOR SUPPLIES, THEY SLEPT ON THE GROUND… 11 KIDS PLUS MOM & DAD! THANKS FOR LISTENING, JENNY! I CAN APPRECIATE YOUR POLISH BACKGROUND…GREAT STURDY STOCK!!! LOVE ‘YA!!!

What an amazing family history you have! By the way, I still have my old Betty Crocker cookbook and I still use it sometimes. Your mother was one of 17 kids?!? I can’t even imagine! How nice of you to take time to write – I really appreciate it. About my cookbook, it’s really outdated and it’s out of print but almost all of the recipes from the book are here on my website and are much improved because I am a better cook today. At 85, if you are online and printing my recipes, I would definitely call you tech-savvy! All the best to you. ❤️
